During
the proceedings before the Hon'ble Supreme
Court of India, Govt. of Gujarat constituted
a high level autonomous Grievances Redressal
Authority. The Authority provides a
forum in which the affected persons
resettled in Gujarat from the affected
areas in the different States could
get redressal of their grievances till
the entire resettlement process is completed.
The decisions and directions of GRA
in all matters relating to grievances
/ complaints of PAPs / PAFs are final
and binding on the State of Gujarat.
GRA has taken an innovative step by
installing a permanent In- House Grievances
Redressal Mechanism in SSPA with the
objective of building up a sensitized
infrastructure within SSPA, which solely
and exclusively deals with grievance
redressal after following due procedure,
under the direct control, supervision
and guidance of GRA. This extended limb
of GRA is called Grievances Redressal
Cell (GRC).
This Cell has been established as an
in-house grievance redressal mechanism
with the objective of building up a
sensitized infrastructure within the
SSPA. This Cell exclusively deals with
the redressal of grievances of the PAFs,
and is under the direct control, supervision
and guidance of the GRA. The Cell is
headed by the Joint Commissioner. |

For addressing grievances, applications are received and
inquiries are held by the related officers.
The decisions that are taken are then
implemented. The PAFs are informed of
their registration number so that it
becomes a reference point for any future
enquiry.
If the PAFs are not satisfied with the decisions taken by
the GRC, they have the option of submitting
an appeal to the GRA.
